I’m just so excited for Barbara to have a pattern featured in QuiltMaker magazine. Click on these links to see all that she is doing.
She is also giving a demonstration on “diamonds running through” with C&T. Check it out here.

I’ve been sewing on a “Mystery Quilt.” There were many, many half square triangles to sew together.
After sewing many “Flying Geese” units together I finally get to add them to a center square.
Nicki watches Joel change batteries.
The pilot poses with the wanna-a-bees.
Great Grandpa Graber enjoys Georgi checking out his beard.
The Grabers were together for a picnic on Memorial Day. It was steamy hot and the children found a spot to cool off!
We also enjoyed a boat ride with Paul’s dad.

Ashton gave Aunt Ang a short John Deere ride.

My sister Barbara’s daughter, Autumn surprised us with a short overnight visit.
And my sister Emily’s son, Andy was still here at the same time …
… along with his friend Duane.
We had a lovely relaxing visit over breakfast Saturday morning before they all left.
Last Thursday we attended a bridal shower for Veronica Knepp.
These ladies did a lovely job hosting and fixing up for the party.

“What Mean These Stones?”
I read that if you want to work in a series you should have at least 3 works in the series. So I made a 3rd quilt using the Silly BooDilly’s Non-Pattern Pattern. And thanks to each of you for your input on giving them a name. Here they are starting with my most recent.

PTQ Show & Tell and Leach Wedding
Here are some quilts that were shown yesterday at our PTQ meeting. This “Roll, Roll, Cotton Boll” was made by Brenda.
Annette made this beautiful “Stack N Whack” with just 2 different fabrics.
JoAnne said this was the first quilt that she made. She’s trying to negotiate with her daughter to get it back!
Watana made this bright happy quilt using the “Broken Star” block pattern
After our quilt meeting I went with Paul’s folks and sister, Jeanie to a wedding in Alabama.
The bride Megan Leach and the groom Jonathan Cammack.
Her sister, Heather & Tim Kozain
And her parents, Mike & Maria Leach with Paul’s folks.
We learned to know the Leachs many years ago when the men did carpenter work.

My sister Polly is gathering pictures of the 63 comforters that Grandmother Vera made for each of her grandchildren. She started with our family of Oren and is hoping to get all 63 of the Heatwole Family documented. Check out her blog.

Instead of sewing, I’ve been fixing food … (I tried Hope’s recipe for these delicious sandwiches.)
They came from Virginia to help with the farm work.

Unnamed I & II
Amy over at Amy’s Creative Side is hosting another Spring Quilt Festival. Here’s my Unnamed contribution.
I’ve been following a blog by Silly BooDilly and I enjoyed her “Non-Pattern” Pattern: A Creative Exercise in Quilt Construction where I got the inspiration to try making something artsy. Now I need a name for the two pieces. They are small, around 18″ wide. What are your suggestions?
