Teaching School
Mr. Stan ask me to take his high school class recently. I’m afraid I had too much fun in “art” class.
I took pictures of each of the students and then printed out their picture in black and white. Then they cut out a part of their picture from fabric and ironed it to their fabric print out. I took 2 sewing machines to school and then they had to quilt their own piece. I demonstrated how to do it by making Mr. Stan a little quilt also.

What a wonderful way to motivate kids in both art and sewing.
Aunt Julia, This would be such a neat project for my girl scout troop. Can you email me the directions? Jennifer
http://www.instructables.com/id/Inkjet-Printing-on-Fabric/ Then print your picture also the same size on regular paper and use that for your pattern. Cut out only one item that you want colored and draw around it/. Then cut it out of fabric that has been ironed to “Wonder Under” or “Heat & Bond” or something like that. Then iron that little design onto your printed black & white fabric. Layer it with a back & batting and machine quilt it. Simple and fun!!!
I’m sure they won’t forget this art class! Very neat!
