  • Possum Town Quilter's Meeting

I just got back from our monthly quilt meeting in Columbus. This month we made 12 1/2" blue & yellow blocks for the drawing. Linda Dawkins was the lucky winner.

Here's Judy Stokes with a quilt she made for one of her grandchildren.

This is Sue Skipper with her quilt of sailboats using the pinwheel block.

This is Mary Ann with a birthday cake block. You add one round for each birthday, kinda like a "Round Robin."

This is Sue Seymer that used up left over blocks to make a charity quilt.

Annette Pennington made this quilt using the "Dutchman's Puzzle" blocks.

Sandi Bowen made this quilt using 1930's prints.

After a light lunch some of us stayed and quilted on the "Hearts & Gizzards" quilt.

  • Julia you sure are part of a talented bunch. I think the Birthday Cake Block is such a neat idea. You want to join me in doing it? It could be our birthday present to each other. I'm serious!

  • Lovely quilts...I think Judy's grandchild will love the one she made for them.

  • I enjoyed seeing all the projects from your quilters guild. I must say that the last quilt is much prettier than it's name!!! All I could think of was chicken hearts and gizzards that I had to choke down as a child! I will look forward to seeing yours and Polly's birthday cake blocks!

  • I'm with Aunt Coleen!  Hearts and Gizzards?  What a name, I'll have to get you to tell me about it.  BTW I don't remember you getting permission to post pics of me on here....just kidding

  • Wow -- they are beautiful quilts!  Thanks for sharing them.
