I had a fun day today with these "Scrappers" from the Starkville Quilt Guild. We made Volcano Mountain wall hangings.

She made this happy sunshine quilt and pieced all the circles by hand.

Nel encouraged us on and served us water & coffee and typed up a recipe for us.

I've finally finshed my wall hanging using the Farmer's Delight pattern. I call it "Family Circle."

My Grandmother Vera has made around a dozen bed quilts using the Farmer's Delight pattern. This inspired two of my sisters and a niece to each make their own; which in turn inspired me to make one too.

Here are 2 quilt's by Grandmother.

Polly made this one using plums and greens for color.

Barbara made her's with mostly burgandy & navy.

Jolene's Farmer's Delight is acutally made by 5 generations of ladies. Great Grandmother Vera, Grandmother Margaret, Mother June (my sister), Jolene, and Jolene's daughter Afton each made a circle.

Notice that some of the patterns have one ring of saw teeth around the outside and some of the patterns have two rings of saw teeth.

I just got back from our monthly quilt meeting in Columbus. This month we made 12 1/2" blue & yellow blocks for the drawing. Linda Dawkins was the lucky winner.

This is Mary Ann with a birthday cake block. You add one round for each birthday, kinda like a "Round Robin."

This is Sue Seymer that used up left over blocks to make a charity quilt.

Annette Pennington made this quilt using the "Dutchman's Puzzle" blocks.

Sandi Bowen made this quilt using 1930's prints.

After a light lunch some of us stayed and quilted on the "Hearts & Gizzards" quilt.

It is so hard to get just one picture where everyone is looking their best.

I went with Amy & Dustin to "Tales of the Crypt" and then we went out for supper. Here they are in a little Mexican restraunt.

Father & Mother & my sister Emily came for a visit last weekend.

Father enjoyed seeing this sculpture of his head that Dustin made. Dustin is trying to do some casting and thought he'd practice.

Mother is hand sewing the border to the back of the doll velvet comforter that she made me at sewing retreat.

They were on their way to Texas to visit Emily & Perry's son, Adam for a few days. It was great to have them here at least for a little bit.

Paul and the boys have been doing a little more flying. Here Paul is "winding the rubber band." You have to hand prop it to start it.

Recently I had a fun morning with some of the Graber ladies. Mom had 2 comforters that she wanted help to tie. Jeanie, Rhoda, Josie and myself went to help her. This "Trip Around the World" was pieced by Mom's sister Aunt Emma. She used fabric from Grandma Graber's old dresses.

Rhoda used to work at an upholstry place in Columbus and she brought home samples of fabric that Mom pieced together for this comforter. 

Paul & the boys have enjoyed flying this ultralight called the Leagle Eagle. It is a project that Brian had started and now they have finished it up and are enjoying it.

It is nice to be back home again. Here's Kirby with his Dick & Jane crib quilt that I finished up at sewing retreat.

I also finished Joel & Sheila's wedding quilt "Featherd Stars in Browns." It was hand quilted by some of Sheila's kinfolks.

I won these "Friendship Star" blocks at our local quilting guild. Then I set them with the "Hour Glass" block and our Magnolia Sewing Circle knotted it for charity.

I also pieced this Rainbow 9-Patch and our sewing circle tied it for charity.

It's a good feeling to have some projects finished, all done, completed.

Today was a special day for us as Grandmother Vera came for a visit. She is 102 years young and can still communicate with us very well.

We took a lot of generation pictures. Here she is with Father & Mother and all of us sisters that were present at the time.

Sheila enjoys a short visit with her while others gather around.

Aunt Vera Rose brought grandmother for the visit and she worked on a velvet comforter while we visited. Don't I look like her?

I have enjoyed this quilt of Polly's so much. It sparkles and shines wonderfully well.

Here is a crib quilt that I made for our first grandson, Kirby Dean. I finished it up today.

I enjoyed helping Autum with piano. I think she's like me in that she enjoys the piano and making quilts.
