  • North Wind Quilt

I’ve finally finished this scrappy quilt and I think I’ll call it
“The North Wind Doth Blow …”
    Remember that little poem?
The North wind doth blow and we shall have snow,
And what will poor robin do then, poor thing?
He’ll sit in a barn and keep himself warm
and hide his head under his wing, poor thing.

North Wind Doth Blow & We Shall have Snow

Back in 2008 I took a “North Wind” class with Dorinda Evans. Here’s my post back then of our class.

  • From one “quilty” sister to another “quilty” sister: Sure enjoyed this post and going back to you quilt class with Dorinda.

  • Aunt Julia, it’s beautiful.  I went back to the old post and I really like the one with twisted ribbons…….think that would work in a velvet?   ~Jennifer

  • I’m not sure how you get North Wind out of it but I shure love it!

  • Don’t you love how many variations on the Northwind block there are? My friend and I seem to have one going all the time. We took a class from Sharyn Craig back in 2003. I’m working on a scrappy Christmas one now.
