Mariner’s Compass — M’liss Rae Hawley
I had a fun 2 days with quilting friends taking a class with M’liss Rae Hawley.
She has a real gift for quilting and shared so many helpful tips with us. I especially liked her help on color and value in helping me place my fabrics. It turned out so much better than I had originally planned.
Here are some of the ladies that also took the class and their beautiful compasses.
M’liss also had a trunk show for us of a lot of her quilts. Check out her website and see her many quilts and books.

Looks like so much fun! Everyone had such nice color choices! I’ll go check out her website. . .
It’s amazing how different the same quilt looks with different colors! Enjoyed the pictures.
Julia what a fun class! You are lucky to be able to take a class with M’liss. I like to follow her work and projects in Quilt magazines.
Why Julia, you must be left handed! You flying geese are flying in the opposite direction as M’liss Rae’s.
Can’t wait to be with you next week. We probably won’t get there till Monday night. Then we can’t stay for the whole week. Holly will be coming back from her Europe trip and we want to be at the airport on Sat. to pick her up.
