  • Visitors from Virginia

It was such a pleasure to have Father & Mother come with Barbara over last weekend.

After Barbara’s picture turned out so good I wanted my picture taken with Father & Mother too.

Father made sure that Barbara fried the meat just right for the group of ladies that came to sew.

Mother peeled lots of potatoes for Gourmet Potatoes and lots of apples for Apple Crisp.

On Friday I took Mother & Barbara to the Macon Welcome Center and met Sylvia Miller and her daughter Thelma there to view the exhibit of Sylvia’s paintings. We ate lunch with them at Mi Ranchito.

Father chose to stay home. Here he is reading the Sword & Trumpet.

Sheila’s sister Kara came along from Virginia for a sisterly visit for the weekend.

On Friday afternoon I took Mother & Barbara over to Quintens to help quilt a little on Evie’s quilt.

They also helped put stitches in Ashton’s quilt.

I hope I didn’t work them too hard!!!

  • i LOVE your 1st two pics!!!  priceless!!!

  • I agree with Amy. Looks like you showed Father, Mother and Barbara a grand time. Oh I’d a loved to put in some stitches in Evies quilt and also baby Ashton’s. Did Evie piece the one she is doing? Wow! And I love the puppy dog/fire hydrant one!
Sheila’s sister Kara reminds me a lot of her daddy Bob.

  • I love “keeping in touch” with family through posts like this! I like to imagine myself being there too! The picture of Father in the kitchen and Mother peeling apples is such a familiar scene! I like to read Sword and Trumpet too.

  • It looks like you had a great time. I like the pic of you with your parents

  • Hey I’m gonna link to this post since I forgot to get a pic of Kara and me.
